Group Ski Deals

Zermatt offers some of the best skiing in Europe, a quaint village with traditional Swiss architecture and breathtaking views of the Matterhorn. Where else could be a better destination for group ski holidays?

Here at Zermatt Chalets, we specialise in catered ski chalets, which are just perfect for groups. Chalets mean someone else doing all the cooking and cleaning, no need to pack rubber gloves in your luggage! Dinner is normally provided six nights a week so there is no need to worry about finding a large table at a restaurant without booking way ahead. There is a large choice of ski chalets for groups in Zermatt, however there are not many large chalets.

When travelling as a group it's ideal to book sole use of a chalet. This means you can have free reign and not worry about disturbing other guests. Zermatt has a large number of chalets, but it's a very popular resort, so if you do want to book the whole chalet, you'll need to get in there as early as possible. If you're travelling as a very large group, you could always book into a ski hotel or chalet hotel, which offers a similar catered experience to a traditional chalet.

Zermatt offers a charming, car-free village. The only vehicles are electric carts, taxis and horse-drawn sleighs. There is traditional Swiss architecture all around, which coupled with the landscape means this is a gorgeous place for a winter ski break. As a ski destination, Zermatt is snow-sure because of it's large glacier and high altitude. The large ski area is divided into four main parts: Sunnegga, Gornergrat, Klein Matterhorn, Schwarzsee. The skiing is ideal for intermediates but there are enough beginner slopes and tough blacks to keep everyone challenged and entertained. There's even a snow park for those looking to practise their tricks. Zermatt boasts over thirty mountain restaurants that can act as meeting points should smaller groups and individuals want to break off and do their own thing before meeting up later, which is the norm with group skiing.

There are plenty of off piste activities to keep any non-skiers in the group occupied. Zermatt has chic boutiques in addition to everyday shops for flexing those credit cards. The town ice rink provides the perfect opportunity for ice skating or perhaps you could try your hand at curling. As the sun starts to set, the apres ski really gets into gear. There are loads of bars and clubs to choose from in the town centre, which is where the apres ski is to be found.
