Chalets Bella Vista and A La Casa are next door to each other so, when booked together, are suitable for groups of up to 14. Meals can be taken together, in the A la Casa.

The chalets are located in a new exclusive area of Zermatt called the 'Petit Village' on the hillside just at the entrance to Zermatt but connected to the river road by a small funicular-style lift. It is possible for intermediate and advanced skiers to ski back to the village from the Sunnegga area.

Chalet Bella Vista:

Chalet Bella Vista certainly lives up to its name with wonderful views of the Matterhorn and the village from the large balcony and terrace area. The chalet is built to high Swiss standards using larch wood from the local forests and like its sister Chalet A la Casa next door, it is a traditional building but with modern furnishings and light and airy inside.

There is an open-plan lounge and dining area with fireplace, TV with international channels, a DVD player and access to the south facing balcony from the lounge.

Two bedrooms have access to a terrace which has a covered seating area and links to the balcony from the lounge.

Chalet A La Casa:

The chalet is a unique combination of traditional and modern with lovely exposed wooden beams and modern furnishings which really go well together.

The lounge and dining area is very spacious with a wood burning fireplace, flat screen cable TV with international channels, DVD player and a south facing balcony with fantastic views of Zermatt.

As the outdoor hot-tub can only be accessed through Room 1, it is private to guests in that room.

For six days of the week the chalet staff prepare all your meals, as described below. On their one day off, they will prepare a Continental-style breakfast for you to help yourselves, and that evening you can eat out in one of the local restaurants.

Breakfast:
Provided will be cereals, fresh fruit and juices, yoghurts, plentiful English tea and good filter coffee, local bread and croissants, cold meats, cheeses and preserves, and boiled eggs. This is normally presented buffet-style for you to help yourself. We also cook a hot dish of the day, individually served.

Afternoon Tea:
The traditional ‘welcome home’ after a day on the slopes will be laid out for you, ready for your return, every day except on the staff’s day off. A good cup of tea or coffee is the perfect accompaniment to a delicious slice of freshly home-baked cake and keeps hungry skiers happy until dinner is ready.

Dinner:
A tasty and innovative, freshly cooked dinner will be prepared for you six nights per week by your chalet host - or by a qualified chef in larger chalets - and served with a choice of wines. Wine is unlimited during the meal service.

Our four-course adult only dinners start with canapés and an aperitif, followed by an appetiser, main course and dessert and coffee with chocolates.

Most special dietary requirements can be catered for, but for certain requests (for e.g. vegan, gluten free diets, low fat/cholesterol meals) there will be an additional charge. Vegetarian meals can always be served, at no extra charge, although we do need 14 days notice. You must notify us in writing at the time of booking of any dietary requirements so that the catering can be planned accordingly.

Children and High Tea:
This chalet does not allow children (under 13 years) to stay, unless you have booked the whole chalet for your exclusive use, it is a peak holiday week or this has been agreed in writing prior to booking. If this is the case, the following applies:

Children’s High Tea is provided at 5.30pm as the main evening meal, and is tailored more towards children’s normal tastes than our adult-only dinner menu, and includes plentiful soft drinks. Children under 13 are not permitted to join the adult dinner unless you have booked this chalet for your exclusive use, when the choice of dining separately or together is entirely up to you - please let us know at the time of booking. For children receiving a child discount, there is a £39 supplement to upgrade from child meals to the adult menu.
